CHANGE TO COMPANY SECRETARY

In accordance with paragraph 6.71 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders
are advised that Mr Pieter du Preez will retire as company secretary of Shoprite Holdings
with effect from 1 February 2027.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Nadine Drutman as company
secretary of Shoprite Holdings with effect from 1 February 2027.

Nadine holds a BCom, LLB and LLM (Labor Law) degrees from the University of the
Witwatersrand and joins Shoprite Holdings from the Absa Group, where she will continue
to serve as company secretary until 31 January 2027.

The Board is satisfied that Nadine has the requisite knowledge and experience to fulfil the
role of company secretary and wishes her well in the role.
