APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited and section 6.42 of the
Debt and Specialist Securities Listings Requirements, the Standard Bank Group board is pleased to
announce the appointment of Ms Rose Nyaboke Ogega to its board and that of The Standard Bank of
South Africa Limited as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 January 2025.

Ms Ogega (64) holds a BCom (Hons) from the University of Nairobi. She is a Fellow of the Institute of
Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and the African Leadership Initiative, a Certified Director in
Corporate Governance and a Professional Certified Coach. Ms Ogega has extensive experience,
spanning over 25 years, advising and managing both large, complex organisations and emerging startup
ventures. Ms Ogega is also a seasoned non-executive director, notably in the role of chairperson of the
Audit Committee.
