Harmony reports a tragic loss-of-life incident at its Moab Khotsong mine
Johannesburg, Monday, 22 June 2026. Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited ("Harmony"
and/or "the Company") regrets to announce that an employee at its Moab Khotsong
mine, near Orkney, tragically lost his life in a seismicity-related fall-of-ground
incident on the morning of Friday, 19 June 2026.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Management
is providing support to the family and affected employees during this difficult
time.
All relevant stakeholders have been notified. An investigation, led by the
Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR), is underway.

are with his family, friends and colleagues during this very difficult time.
Safety is our foremost priority, and we will work closely with the DMPR to
understand the circumstances of this incident and ensure that the necessary lessons
