DISCLOSURE OF BENEFICIAL INTERESTS IN SECURITIES
In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, (Act No. 71 of 2008) and paragraph 3.83(b)
of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that Nedbank Group has
received formal notification that The Standard Bank Group ("Standard Bank") have, in aggregate,
acquired an interest in the ordinary shares of Nedbank Group, such that the total interest in the ordinary
shares of Nedbank Group held by Standard Bank now amounts to 5.57% of the total issued ordinary
shares of Nedbank Group.
The board of Nedbank Group ("Board") accepts responsibility for the information contained in this
announcement and confirms that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, such information is true and
that this announcement does not omit anything likely to affect the importance of such information
included. The Board has relied on the accuracy of the information contained in the notification received
from Standard Bank in making this statement.
Nedbank Group has filed the required notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
