Conference Call Relating to Release of Competition Commission of South Africa’s detailed report
on data services market enquiry

With reference to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News Service of the JSE Limited
on 4 December 2019 noting the Competition Commission of South Africa’s summary report on the
final findings of the data services market enquiry published on 2 December 2019.

MTN has subsequently received the full report from the Competition Commission and is in the process
of reviewing it, and has also met with the Competition Commission at its request for initial
engagements.

MTN hereby advises that a conference call with investors and analysts will be held at 15h30 Central
African Time today (12 December 2019) to discuss some of the abovementioned developments. A
