INITIAL TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by at least 20%
from the financial results for the previous corresponding period or a profit forecast previously
provided to the market in relation to such period.
Shareholders are accordingly advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that, for the six
months ended 31 December 2023, there will be an improvement in the financial results for the
period to be reported on, with the Company showing a turnaround to a profit for the current
period from a loss in the prior period.
Accordingly, an improvement of more than 100% is expected to reflect positive earnings and
headline earnings per share compared to the prior period basic and headline loss per share of
(1.15) cents and (1.02) cents, respectively.
A further trading statement will be published in due course.
