APPOINTMENT OF PERMANENT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

York shareholders (“Shareholders”) are referred to the announcement published on SENS on
26 March 2026, wherein Shareholders were advised of the appointment of Mr Schalk Barnard, the
Company’s chief financial officer (“CFO”), in a dual and secondary role as interim chief executive officer
(“CEO”) of York with effect from 1 April 2026, until such time as a permanent CEO is appointed.

In accordance with paragraph 6.71 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Shareholders are hereby
advised that, following a rigorous process involving the consideration of both internal and external
candidates, the board of directors of York (“Board”) is pleased to announce that Mr Barnard has been
appointed as permanent Group CEO with effect from 1 September 2026.

In compliance with paragraph 6.73 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the Board confirms that
it has conducted the requisite fit and proper assessment of Mr Barnard, in accordance with paragraph
5.6 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, and is satisfied with the outcome of the assessment.

Following Mr Barnard’s appointment as permanent Group CEO, the Company has commenced a
process of identifying and appointing a permanent CFO. In the interim, and pursuant to the dispensation
previously granted by the JSE, Mr Barnard will fulfil a dual and secondary role as interim CFO, until
such time as a permanent CFO is appointed.

Shareholders will be advised of further developments regarding the appointment of a permanent CFO
in due course.
