SECOND QUARTER OPERATIONAL UPDATE – FY 2024
Cashbuild herewith provides its voluntary quarterly operational update for the second quarter of the 2024
financial year ("second quarter").
Revenue for the second quarter for the Group was up 5% on the second quarter of the prior financial year ("the
comparative period"). For the 312 existing stores (in existence prior to July 2022), revenue increased by 3%
and the 9 new stores, contributed 2% growth. This, combined with the results reported in the first quarter of
FY 2024, equates to an increase in revenue for the half year ended 24 December 2023 ("half year" or
"HY2024") of 2% compared to the prior half year ended 25 December 2022 ("HY2023").
Transactions through the tills during the second quarter for the Group increased by 1% (half year: flat) to that
of the comparative period, with existing stores decreasing by 1% (half year: 1% down) and new stores
contributing 2% (half year: 2%).
Selling inflation was 3.2% at the end of December 2023 when compared to HY2023.
