AMENDMENTS TO THE TRANSNET SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT POLICY AND
TRANSNET PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT POLICY
Noteholders are hereby notified that Transnet's Board of Directors has approved amendments to
the Company's Supply Chain Management Policy ("SCM Policy") and Transnet Preferential
Procurement Policy ("TPP Policy").
The addendum to the SCM Policy will enable Transnet to implement the departures from Treasury
Instruction notes granted by the National Treasury in accordance with section 79 of the Public
Finance Management Act, 1999 which are meant to improve efficiencies in Transnet's
procurement processes.
The SCM Policy will differentiate between procurement of goods and services for the normal day-
to-day administration of Transnet and the procurement of goods and services with direct impact
on revenue generation.
The TPP Policy has also been amended to cater for procurement of goods and services with direct
impact on revenue generation.
The amendments to the SCM Policy and TPP Policy became effective from 01 October 2024.
The addenda containing the amendments can be found on Transnet's website on the following
