DEALINGS IN SECURITIES

Northam shareholders (“shareholders”) are advised that the company has made awards in
accordance with the terms of the Northam Share Incentive Plan (“SIP”). These include the award of
conditional shares relating to Northam’s BEE transaction (“BEE SIP Awards”). This award is in
accordance with the allocation limits set out in the SIP.

Accordingly, in compliance with paragraphs 3.63 to 3.66 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements
(“JSE Listings Requirements”), shareholders are hereby advised of the following acceptance of
