SHAREHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

Further to the announcement released on SENS on 15 November 2021, Shoprite Holdings
invites the shareholders who voted against the remuneration policy at the annual general
meeting held on 15 November 2021 (“dissenting shareholders”) to please register their
interest for further engagement by emailing cosec@shoprite.co.za by Friday, 11 February
2022.

Once Shoprite receives such interests for further engagement from the dissenting
shareholders, it will set up engagements to discuss any concerns, questions or
recommendations on the remuneration policy.
