FOURTH QUARTER OPERATIONAL UPDATE – FY 2021

Cashbuild herewith provides its voluntary quarterly operational update.

Revenue for the fourth quarter for the Cashbuild Group was up 38% on the fourth quarter of the prior financial
year (“the comparative period”) which was impacted by Covid-19 hard lockdown. The 298 existing stores’
revenue increased by 36% and the 21 new stores contributed 2% of the growth. The growth for the fourth
quarter together with the growth of the previous quarters, equates to an increase in revenue for the Cashbuild
Group of 25% for the financial year ended 27 June 2021 (“the financial year”), with new stores contributing
2% of the increase and existing stores increasing 23%.

Transactions through the tills during the fourth quarter for the Cashbuild Group increased by 23% to that of the
comparative period, with new stores contributing 2% of the increase and existing stores increasing by 21%.

Selling inflation was 7.4% at the end of June 2021 when compared to June 2020 mainly driven by
extraordinary steel related product price increases.

During the fourth quarter the Group opened three Cashbuild stores, closed one Cashbuild store at the
expiration of its lease agreement and refurbished 16 Cashbuild stores, bringing the total number of stores
trading at the end of the financial year to 319.
