FEEDBACK ON ENGAGEMENT WITH SHAREHOLDERS

On Friday, 11 June 2021 Sanlam released an announcement on the Stock Exchange News Service of
the JSE Limited which invited all dissenting shareholders to submit their written concerns regarding the
2020 remuneration implementation report to the Head of Group Reward (Julia.fourie@sanlam.co.za).

In terms of the invitation Sanlam requested that written concerns reach the Company by 23 June 2021,
to ensure that appropriate and individual engagements are arranged between dissenting shareholders,
the chair of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee (HRRC) and the Company’s
management by 14 July 2021.

Shareholders are advised that:

1. Sanlam did not receive any concerns/queries from dissenting shareholders following this specific
   invitation to engage.

2. The invitation to shareholders to engage on any aspect of Sanlam’s remuneration policy and
   implementation thereof remains a standing invitation. As outlined in our policy regarding
   shareholder engagement, we welcome engagement at any time.


3. Appropriate steps will be taken in terms of engagement and consultation prior to disclosure of the
   2021 Remuneration Report.
