TRADING STATEMENT
Newpark has elected dividend per share (“DPS”) as its relevant measure of financial performance. In terms of the JSE
Listings Requirements, the Company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it is satisfied that a
reasonable degree of certainty that the DPS for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 15% from
that of the prior corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that the Group’s interim DPS and distributable earnings per share for the 6 months to
31 August 2020 is expected to be 19.63 cents per share, being a decline of 19.3% when compared to the DPS and
distributable earnings per share of 24.32 cents per share for the six months ended 31 August 2019.
The financial results on which this trading statement is based have not been reviewed or reported on by Newpark’s
auditors. The financial results of Newpark for the 6 months ended 31 August 2020 will be published on SENS on or
about 7 October 2020.
