UPDATE ON THE APPOINTMENT OF JOINT AUDITORS

On 23 April 2021 noteholders were notified of the intention to appoint Ernst & Young Incorporated (EY) as one of
the joint auditors of FRB for the financial year ending 30 June 2024, and the appointment of KPMG Incorporated
(KPMG) as the other joint auditors for the financial year ending 30 June 2026. These appointments are in
accordance with the mandatory audit firm rotation rule issued by the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors
(IRBA).

FirstRand Bank committed to informing noteholders once the decision was made on which of the current joint audit
firms, Deloitte & Touch (Deloitte) or PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc (PWC) would rotate off the FRB audit for the
financial years ending 30 June 2024 and 30 June 2026 years respectively.

In compliance with the JSE Debt Listings Requirements, FRB now confirm the intention to first replace Deloitte
following the completion of the 30 June 2023 financial year audit and then replace PWC following the completion
of the 30 June 2025 financial year audit. This process is in accordance with the mandatory audit firm rotation rule
issued by the IRBA.
