UNDERWRITERS EXERCISE OPTION TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL TRONOX SHARES

Exxaro Resources Limited (JSE:EXX) shareholders are referred to the announcements regarding Exxaro’s
sales of Tronox Holdings plc (NYSE:TROX) (“Tronox”) ordinary shares (“Tronox shares”) released by the
Company on 24 February 2021 and 25 February 2021. Exxaro previously reported in the SENS
announcement of 25 February 2021 that it had granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an
additional 2 866 345 Tronox shares (the “Option”).

Exxaro is pleased to announce that the underwriters have fully exercised the Option. Following this disposal,
Exxaro no longer owns any Tronox shares.

The net proceeds from this disposal will be used to repay debt, invest in renewable energy and return capital
to Exxaro shareholders, which the Company believes is in the best interest of its shareholders.
