WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT


Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement published on Monday, 26 October 2020
relating to the continued uncertainty on the settlement of the debt restructure negotiations and the impact
thereof on CIG’s sustainability.

Shareholders are further referred to the announcements released on Tuesday, 10 November 2020 and
Wednesday, 25 November 2020 wherein shareholders were advised that CIG had commenced voluntary
business rescue proceedings and that the voluntary suspension of trading in CIG shares had been
approved by the JSE with effect from Wednesday, 25 November 2020.

Shareholders are advised that following the voluntary suspension of trading in CIG shares, the Company
hereby withdraws the cautionary announcement.
