Vukile granted rent concessions to tenants, both in Southern Africa and Spain, in order to assist tenants through the crisis. Therefore, a significant portion of the anticipated financial impact of the pandemic was experienced in the first half of the current financial year. Accordingly, shareholders are advised that distributable earnings per share for the six months ended 30 September 2020 are expected to be 46.63045 cents (a decrease of 47.3%, when compared to distributable earnings per share of 88.52691 cents for the six months ended 30 September 2019). Shareholders are also referred to Vukile’s reviewed preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2020 released on SENS on 30 June 2020 and the integrated annual report issued to shareholders on 31 August 2020, wherein Vukile advised that it did not anticipate paying an interim dividend. The board confirms that it has resolved not to declare an interim dividend for the six months ended 30 September 2020. Vukile’s results for the six months ended 30 September 2020 will be published on 30 November 2020.
