Changes to the board of directors

In compliance with section 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised
that Dr Snowy Khoza has resigned as Chairperson of the Board of Etion (“the Board”) with
effect from 31 December 2020 and Teddy Daka has resigned as Group Chief Executive Officer
with effect from 31 January 2021 but will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Teddy’s decision follows the strategic decision by the Board to dispose of its various operating
subsidiaries/divisions as announced on SENS on 28 October 2020. The board has appointed
Elvin de Kock, the current Group Chief Financial Officer, as the acting Group Chief Executive
Officer from 1 February 2021.

The Board wants to thank Snowy and Teddy for their valuable contribution to the board over
the years and wishes them well with their next endeavours.

The Board is in the process of finding a replacement for the Chairperson and the Group Chief
Financial Officer to the extent required and an announcement will be made in due course.
