VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT: ACQUISITION OF RH BOPHELO SHARES BY THE SOUTH
AFRICAN MEDICAL AND DENTAL PRACTITIONERS ASSOCIATION

RH Bophelo is pleased to announce that the South African Medical and Dental Practitioners
Association (“SAMDP”) has acquired a shareholding in RH Bophelo.

SAMDP is a national body of Black medical and dental practitioners established in 1989 with over
1,600 Black doctors and healthcare professionals and aims to serve the healthcare needs of
historically disadvantaged populations of South Africa. SAMDP advocates policy interests of Black
healthcare professionals in South Africa and has established an investment company to participate
in the normalisation and transformation of business in the healthcare sector.

SAMDP’s initial investment into RH Bophelo is the beginning of a partnership with RH Bophelo and
they are a key stakeholder in RH Bophelo’s overall strategy. RH Bophelo looks forward to a long
and successful relationship and to SAMDP becoming a larger shareholder in the future.

This announcement is made voluntarily and falls below the thresholds prescribed by the JSE and
the Companies Act, 2008 (Act 71 of 2008).
