CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Afrox shareholders
(“Shareholders”) are advised of the resignation of Ms Nolitha Fakude, an independent non-executive
director of the Company, with effect from 31 December 2019. Ms Fakude’s resignation is as a result
of the commitments required of her in her new executive role at Anglo American South Africa.

Ms Fakude was appointed as an independent non-executive director to the Afrox board of directors
(“Board”) and as a member of the Nomination, Governance and Management of Resources
Committee on 1 March 2017, and thereafter she was appointed as a member of the Social, Ethics
and Transformation Committee and Chairperson of the Nomination, Governance and Management of
Resources Committee on 30 May 2019.

The Board would like to express its gratitude to Ms Fakude for her valuable contribution to Afrox and
wishes her well in her future endeavours.

The Board will commence a recruitment process to appoint an appropriate successor and
Shareholders will be kept informed in this regard.
