APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements (“Listings Requirements”), shareholders
are advised that Mr Hendrik van der Merwe Scholtz has been appointed to the board of directors of Mettle
(the “Board”) as a non-executive director with effect from 14 August 2019.

In terms of the Listings Requirements, the appointment of Mr Scholtz will be confirmed by shareholders at
the Company’s next annual general meeting.

Mr Scholtz completed a BCom (Law) degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 1998 after which he
commenced his career at Capitec Bank. Mr Scholtz founded a number of lending businesses during the
period 2005 to 2016. In 2016, he founded Genfin, an investment holding company focussed on financial
services businesses and has made a number of investments including Business Fuel Australia and South
Africa. Genfin recently invested in the Company.

The Board welcomes Merwe and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
